Our Story

Some fabrics are too beautiful to disappear.

Finch & Hatton began with a simple belief — that the finest textiles deserve a second life. We source rare vintage fabrics from around the world: Sanderson florals from English country estates, Warwick velvets, GP & J Baker prints that carry decades of history in every thread. Fabrics that were made to last, and that still have so much left to give.

From our studio in Canowindra, in the heart of rural New South Wales, each piece is cut and sewn by hand. No two cushions are the same. The fabric dictates the design — we work with what we find, pairing vintage prints with complementary linens, velvets and checks to create something entirely new from something with a past.

We call it slow making. Every stitch is intentional. Every piece is one of a kind.

We started Finch & Hatton because we were tired of things made quickly and forgotten easily. We wanted to make something worth keeping — something that carries a story into your home and becomes part of it.

Heritage in the making.
